![]() ![]() It mainly seems to be US folks who get all excited over Qobuz because it's relatively new to the US, it's been going since 2007 in Europe and has been pretty shit the whole time. Over that time I've also been a subscriber of Tidal and Spotify and have sacked off Spotify, whilst Spotify arguably has the best matching algorithm and the most user generated playlists, Tidal has an equally great catalogue, is lossless for the same price as Spotify, they continually keep developing their interfaces and it's accessible from third-party apps, also their family plan is a better deal than Spotify's.Īll I can guess is that anyone who recommends Qobuz over Tidal or Spotify mustn't listen to much variety or doesn't seek recommendations for new music. I last tried it last year and discovered the first real change to the app in years, it's changed colour, oh and the genres, they now have 13, one more :) In that time it's hardly changed, the catalogue is pretty shit and the app is one of the worst out there, I'd say the only worse one is mixcloud. I've used Qobuz on and off since about 2014. Subreddit's theme is /r/Minimaluminiumalism.
